My Weekend
I am winding down from a wonderful weekend. Mr. Hughes was outside for 11 hours Saturday working on the deck rails. He has been outside working on the deck or planting trees for the past 3 or 4 weeks now. I was on Baby Hughes duty. I was not very productive unless you count the bubbles blown, the snuggles snuggled, or giggles giggled. Yes, it was a wonderful weekend. I did finish the framed burlap coffee sack that I have been meaning to complete for awhile. I have a half a dozen burlap coffee sacks... some women get jewelry or flowers from their husbands- I get ironstone, burlap sacks, and mercury glass! (Mr. Hughes is also generous in the jewelry category too.) Anyhow, I have had these sacks for awhile, along with the frame. I actually have a stockpile of frames, waiting to be used. We found this one that was once white for like $5. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but it was cheap. I painted it black, as I do with most things, and framed the burlap over foam core. I think I may use it as project inspiration board or a may just simply place a few vintage family photos on it. I have ideas for my other sacks, I just have to get to them. My goal this week is to get the corbels put up in the kitchen, and then have Mr. Hughes take some photos. I have to think small. Small baby steps... for me and Baby Hughes!
