What I Keep

Hello all!  Have you ever been by a incredible vintage shop or booth or even the flea and look around at all the Vintage Goodness and wonder... if this is what they are selling, then what in the world are they keeping? You know they are holding onto their favorite and their best.  Hey, I am guilty of it.  There are some things that I don't part with.  So, I thought I would start a little series about what we keep.  I will ask a few bloggers and maybe some non bloggers to snap a few photos and tell us what they keep and why.   I don't have any hard and fast rules for this sort of thing, but I would love to begin next week and continue as long as I have fresh posts from vintage lovers.  So, stay tuned!  I can't wait to see what everyone hoards... I mean, treasures!

I am trying to squeeze as much out of this beautiful month as I can.  I hope to be back tomorrow with a Friday Favorites!

bye for now!

  1. Funny.Sometimes when I have a sale people tell me they can't imagine how my house must look if this is the stuff I'm selling! I think they might be surprised to find just how different my house is. It's easier to sell stuff that I appreciate for its vintage character/quality but wouldn't necessarily display. And sometimes a girl can have too many scales which is why I currently have four for sale!

  2. Oh Michelle, I am so guilty of finding treasures that I tell myself are for my shop. But in my heart, I know when I am making the purchase that they were meant for me! The old black typewriter was just crying out to live on the table near the window that overlooks the yard with the beautiful trees. And those 1930's wedding shoes, that don't fit me, look so adorable sitting on the floor next to the chair with the fluffy crinoline...all treasures that were supposed to be put in my shop. I could go on, but will leave the rest to your imagination :)

This is going to be a fun to follow!

  3. To me, that's the best part of reselling ... keeping what you love until you find something else you love more. :-)

  5. Michelle,

I don't know how you part with the treasures you do! Looking forward to your new series and seeing all the lovelies that don't make it to the shop.
